Wildlife Conservation · Strategic Communications
Fifteen years shaping narratives at the intersection of science and public engagement—from field dispatches in the Serengeti to award-winning campaigns that moved legislation. Now seeking my next mission.
Long-form features, campaign narratives, grant writing, annual reports, op-eds, and donor communications—all grounded in deep subject-matter expertise.
Rigorous line editing and copy editing for accuracy, clarity, and voice. From scientific manuscripts to public-facing magazines and digital content.
Stakeholder messaging, media relations, crisis communications, and brand voice development for conservation NGOs and environmental agencies.
Documentary-style field video, scriptwriting, and post-production. Creating compelling visual stories that turn field data into public engagement.
Wildlife and conservation photography from the field—images used in publications, fundraising campaigns, and social media advocacy.
End-to-end communications campaigns that have influenced policy, raised millions in donations, and mobilized communities across four continents.
Whether the mission is quarterly earnings or clean water, I bring the same rigor, creativity, and strategic clarity to every communications challenge.
Companies working in sustainability, environmental responsibility, or natural resources need communications that are credible, precise, and compelling—to investors, regulators, press, and the public. I translate complex science and policy into narratives that build trust and drive action.
Conservation organizations, foundations, and advocacy groups often have extraordinary work and underpowered communications. I help mission-driven teams punch above their weight—building donor relationships, mobilizing communities, and earning the media coverage their work deserves.
From rebranding a century-old conservation society to launching a viral digital campaign that halted a harmful development project, my work lives at the intersection of science, storytelling, and strategy.
Each project is approached as a unique narrative challenge—shaped by the audience, the urgency, and the ecosystem at stake.
I started my career as a wildlife biologist, spending three years in the field before realizing that the missing ingredient in conservation wasn't more data—it was better stories. I've spent the last fifteen years bridging that gap.
As Communications Director at the African Conservation Foundation, I built a team of twelve, tripled our media reach, and led campaigns that contributed directly to the protection of over 2 million acres of critical habitat. My writing has appeared in National Geographic, The Guardian, and scientific journals. My videos have been watched over 1 million times.
I am currently open to new opportunities in conservation communications leadership, strategic content roles, and consulting.
Available for Director-level and VP communications roles in conservation, environment, and science organizations.
